I got a text around 10:30pm from a guy in our local flight club asking if I could pick him up at Creve Coeur (1H0) in the morning and bring him back to home base (DEC) the following morning.

I mean, that's all the excuse I really need...off to a great start.

C182 was fueled and ready to go, and I took off just as the tower opened at 6am.
Scattered at 400ft, but altogether beautiful. Flight following to 1H0.
STL Approach asks, "You OK with Class Bravo, or you want to go around?".
Well...never been in Class B before, let's give it a shot.
"Cleared into Class Bravo"
Flew directly over STL to CSX, then to 1H0.
"Chirp, Chrip" on the landing, and my passenger was waiting.
He hopped in, and we started back.

About 30 miles out I tuned in the ATIS.
500ft Overcast, IFR.
My passenger (a CFII) filed in flight, and I shot the ILS-6 approach, popping out with RWY 6 right in front of us.
I've got around 32hrs dual toward my IFR, and this was unexpected and awesome.
Back home by 8:30am.
All around just a great day...and it's days like this that I just sit back and appreciate our hobby.
