Jet Crashes Oregon Homes

Not good. Doesn't sound good for the pilot. An older jet? I wonder what it was. Can't tell from the MSNBC article.

They hold a great airshow at HIO every year. If I hadn't planned on going to Hawaii yesterday (posting this from Kauai) I would have seriously considered grabbing a plane and flying down. There are housing developments off three sides of HIO at varying distances. I can the NIMBYs crying to shut down the show.

Hawker Hunter N58MX BLUE MAX II Owned by Bob Guilford. He did not survive.

I believe he was an attorney who often litigated aviation related accidents. A little ironic.

He was the attorney who pierced the statute of repose.

A good start?

Whatta shame about the jet.

That's pretty tasteless.

I got to meet Robert Guilford, and remember him as being a stand-up guy.
The firm's summation of his life is something I think we can all relate to:

"Though he could have ejected, he tried to control the aircraft as long as possible. Bob was a highly skilled pilot and a brilliant air disaster attorney. Aviation was his life. "

May he rest in peace.

Sorry... The only thing I find sad about this is the loss of the plane and the house.
