Is "IFR Refresher" Still Being Published

[sgkramer]

Is "IFR Refresher" magazine, not to be confused with "IFR" magazine, still being published. I don't think I've seen a copy in over a year.

No. Belvoir terminated it. IFR Magazine continues.

It was never all that great of a magazine. Pretty low level stuff. Then they got an editor who was absolutely abysmal and started publishing articles that went from basic to completely (and dangerously wrong). I pretty much decided to kill my subscription after reading an article called "Grass Strip IFR" (I do operate IFR out of a Grass Strip), that just essentially spent an entire page saying, "Go land at a big airport instead." Complete waste of time and trees.

As a former editor of IFR Refresher (2012 to 2019) I feel a bit disappointed that it may have been during my tenure. I went back a few years but could not find the article mentioned {Grass Strip IFR). "flyingron," can you help?

Welcome to PoA!

FYI, if you want to get someone's attention, use an @ with their handle, like @flyingron .

No, it was a bit before that if I'm recalling. Probably around 2008 or so. I'm spacing on the editor's name back then.
