Tomorrow, officially; however, most states celebrate it on Monday. Unionized employers may frequently have Friday OFF for the long weekend.

The particular song is about Remembrance Day in Canada, also celebrated in Australia and the United Kingdom, and very similar to our Veterans Day in the US. The 2 minutes of silence at 11:00am is a recommendation of the Royal Canadian Legion.

It's hard to get through it without a tear in the eye and a catch in the throat.

I think I'll call up a few old Vets that I haven't heard from in awhile & see if they want me to fly them out to lunch in the next week or two. One was a B17 tailgunner & Boeing consultant.
