IFD440 Turn Anticipation Not Working?

Hoping someone has some insight: I'm used to flying with the Garmin GNS-430/530w. Those give an 'anticipation' turn for the next leg of a flight plan. I'm now flying a Warrior that has the IFD-440, and it's not giving that sort of turn anticipation, so this results in the autopilot flying through the waypoint, then having to turn to re-intercept the next leg. Shouldn't matter, but the autopilot is the Aerocruze 100, which is otherwise flying exactly what the magenta line would be expected.

Not seeing anything in the settings that is obvious, but maybe the collective wisdom here has some experience with these?

Not sure what's happening with yours, but the IFD definitely does turn anticipation. Has it happened more than once? If you don't mind, what was the flight plan and what did it blow through without turning in advance?

Edit:
I'm not as familiar with the Aerocruze as others, but I know it has two GPS modes, GPS NAV and GPSS. GPS NAV mode is supposed to be for non-IFR certified GPS units and does not do anticipation; GPSS mode does. Any possibility of a misconnection and you are getting the wrong one? One way to check in flight - what does it do with a procedure turn?

So, the flight plan was to a VOR fix (via GPS), then a flight plan to a local airport with an RNAV approach loaded at the IAF. Magenta line was correct, but when approaching the first waypoint, the plane flew over the waypoint, then started the turn to intercept the next leg, which it ultimately did. Did the same at the IAF. Overshot the fix, then corrected.

I'm going to review the entire setup, as I suspect whoever set this up originally misconfigured something. I suspect what you wrote is the correct answer..

Something else so you can verify it's not the IFD itself. The IFD Map should show the anticipation. On the small 440 screen you'll have to zoom in, but it will be there. But watch out for two things.
1. If the angle from one leg to another is >135°, the IFD treats it as a fly-over waypoint.
2. Holding fixes are fly-over, even if not charted that way.

If you grab your IFD Pilot Guide, you will see these discussed. But use fly-by and fly-over (with the hyphen) to search the pdf. The holding fix part is also discussed in the AIM.

FWIW, I have an IFD540 with an AeroCruze 100 autopilot. Not only does the IFD anticipate turns, it actually gives me a small notification on the map screen several seconds before a turn. I'm guessing there's a setting that you have turned off. I'd suggest sending an email to Avidyne support. They're usually very responsive, but with Oshkosh in full swing, they might be delayed in getting back to you.
