How in the heck can anyone jump out of a Cherokee while on fire, from the back seat?

Yeah...read it way too fast...I also thought it had happened recently.

Fire is the best lubricant known to mankind.
Upside-down once in a burning car. After unlatching the harness, I think 0.1 second elapsed before I was out. I don't even remember unlatching the window net, but I must've...:eek:

Ain't that the truth....

Been there, had the T-shirt before it burned....

Never experienced being in a fire but I can see the motivation, and strength, to get out. Read many reports of similar exploits.

Been on fire twice...didn't like it either time  Will always have the scars from the construction fire, but no damage from the aircraft maintenance fire. Adrenaline seems to make your mind compress time by a huge factor.

....and live to tell about it.

Must've bailed through the baggage door.
