I am so depressed....

The plane I usually fly has been down since Christmas, waiting for parts.
They finished putting the parts on yesterday.
I go over this morning and during the preflight I discover the rudder is broken. It barely moves. Pull the rudder and discover the bearing surfaces are rusted together. WTH?
Down for parts.
I am so depressed.......

Maybe I'll go up to GBR and rent a Cub.

Mine has been down since July. Medical cert and biannual flight review expired. Just seemed like the perfect time to remove all radios except the transponder.

Haven't flown since September. Hydraulic issues with Swift. I got rid of my flying club membership because I was flying it so much. Hope to be back in the air in a week or two.

GTN 650 is a solid GPS and that GI-106A and PMA are nice too! I went with the 340 on mine.

Nice! Are you getting ADS-B compliant at the same time? Which x-ponder are you using?

Anybody with a truly vintage airplane can likely relate. My plane was down a while back for about a year due to propeller problems. It felt good to have it back once things were ironed out.

Now it is mostly sitting once again. This time it is because I have very little time to fly it though. I've been flying a bunch of other peoples' airplanes instead.
