Say there is a particular website that I like but don’t want it to go away in the future. There are a lot of good resources on it, from pdf documents, to videos, etc, An example is if the company goes out of business, or gets bought out and web site changes occur, or the owner passes and the family stops the business, or if they simply stop paying their domain host.

Is there a quick and easy method to download the entire content to one of my hard drives for forever access?
 
What you’re looking for is a website scraper. Google it, plenty of options. Free and pay.
 
What you're looking for could be construed as theft. Be careful.

If your activity is only to "archive" information for your private use you might get a favorable judgement, But if you ever re-publish any of their content you could be facing some questions you don't want to spend the dollars to answer.

I'm just SGOTI, but if there was content I wanted to store and maybe use publicly I would start by asking the current IP owner for permission/rights/instructions.

Web scraping is kind of... well... like scraping. Ever had a good scraping experience.

I just want to be able to archive and access content offline, in case it ever vanishes.

It’s 100% for personal use as a reference/resource for my library.
