How much do airlines/private companies care about a bachelors degree?

as with any job it a job market thing. right now the majors can require it, next week who knows. at the present time regional airlines cannot require it and still get the number of pilots they need, so they will hire without one. the important thing to remember is they can never take away an education. no matter what field, having a degree in anything will give you step up on someone without one, period.

as a side note for jordan, is everything still in line for delta? i heard a rumor that united cancelled mondays class due to the corona impact.

Everything is full steam ahead at Delta. Management came in and said there were no plans to stop or delay hiring and they will continue to try to meet the 1300+ pilot goal for 2020. 40 start tomorrow and 56 start in 2 weeks. I’ll already have almost 100 people below me in 2 weeks!
