Some I had a lot of time in and some I flew for a short time.Most important all airplanes are fun to fly. I am so lucky to have been an airport kid flying when I could :yes:

Fun plane. Flys a little like a jet and a little like a turbo prop. Long trips say East coast to the midwest we cruise 40.0 or 41.0 depending on direction speed. Optimal altitude for speed is around 28.0 to 31.0 again depending on temp and loading on a slow day we will see about 385-390kts true ..and on a good day light load, low temps we will see around 400kts true. The best speed I have seen is 408kts true in cruise. Plane is placard at .70 on the max indicated speed. Usually see that in the decent between 41 and 31.0. Its not a plane to land in 3,500 foot of runway on a hot day. On approach usually hit the outer marker at about 180kts then slow to 150kts until 500agl feet ..at this point we transition to full flaps and about 120 to 125kts depending on weight until were over the numbers. Take off and landing as with any aircraft is the most demanding part of flying the Piaggio. It is not very forgiving of an inattentive pilot during this phase of flight,but handles really nice in all phases of flight. As the story goes the funnest flying is bumming a ride with the local guys at the airport. I have a freind that has a pocket full of type ratings and flys one of the fastest civilian jets made....he called me a while back on cloud nine talking about how he had just been up banging around in a cessna 172....just him and the plane. So I guess it goes to show you as long as it has a wing and takes you up in the air its all good. :D

i believe that when you perform the takeoff, cruise, and landing, it is not considered a ride. particularly when it get signed off in your logbook (of course hidden so you can still claim all tailwheel time) as dual received.
 
Compared to flying the 140, takeoff, cruise, and landing in a 172 is just a ride. At least I think that's his point.

Two months ago I thought I had a chance to get some right seat in a MU-2. It was a pipe dream. Still, I have hope.

I didn't, actually.

Kip and I tried to take 60SX for my first lesson with him (second lesson ever) and it took me the better part of an hour to close the door, then when we had to cross-control for the first landing, my knee got in the way, so we switched over to 999 and stuck with it for most of my training. I have a grand total of .8 in the 152, and it was probably the least comfortable .8 of my life.

Holy necropost! I think I can only add a C-210 and Beech Sierra to my list. I flew in Ed's Cherokee last weekend, but didn't touch the controls; it was just once around the pattern.

I have six different planes listed in my log book but some are from the right seat, not sure if that counts.

If the wx would have been better at 6Y9 it could have been seven or eight by the time I left.

But when I was sitting in the left seat? Four. A Tecnam Sierra, a 172, a 152, and a different 172 - all flying lessons. The only one I've gone solo in is the 152 but next week I'm getting the 172 checkout.
