How many?

Over 100 when I actually paid attention to that sort of thing. That includes variations. eg: some would include all Citabrias as one, when you could technically claim the 7KCAB, 7GCBC, 7GCAA, and 7ECA separately if you've flown an example of each. Nit picky, I know but after all this is the internet!

Um.

C-152 (1/2 hour, a long time ago)
C-172 (C, N & R models)
P28-161 (~1 hour as PIC and 1/2 hour as safety pilot)
P28R-201 (2 hours)
Evektor Sportstar (1/2 hour demo flight)
Beech C-23 Sundowner (1/2 hour check out, the next month it was totaled. Sigh)
Cirrus SR22 GTS (3/4 hour demo flight, sweet ride!)

All include time in the left seat and as sole manipulator of the controls. Not all include landing.

Wow, 6. That's more than I would have guessed at only ~140 hours.

John

I wouldn't call a Husky boring....I've been wanting to fly one for while!

While I can see a POV to that with the PA 28 series, although they make decent transportation and are safe and reasonably economical

We won't start in on the Navajo series, probably be a while before you get a seat in one.

I like the PA-28's I fly. While they are on the low end as far as airplanes go, I'm impressed at what the old warrior II can do. Its inexpensive to rent, stupid easy to fly and it performs very well for only 160 HP.

When I consider that the 152 is a dog with 2 smaller people and full tanks and has 110 horsepower, the warrior is really making great use of that 160hp. I can carry twice as many people and twice as much fuel in the warrior with only 50 more HP and the airplane climbs reasonably well.

Sure they're on the slow side and considered a basic airplane but I think its admirable that they are so inexpensive, easy to fly and do have a good amount of utility.

Okay, my updated list:

PIC: Alon Ercoupe, Cessna 152, 7ECA Citabria, Cessna 177B Cardinal fixed gear, PA-28R-180 Arrow. :D The majority of my time is in the 152 & 7ECA. I like the 152 because it's cheap and makes an OK camera ship. I like the Cardinal and Arrow the most though for their great utility & cross country ability.

Not PIC but flown: Glasair Sportsman GS-2, Cessna 182, DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver, Beech B55 Baron.

Lets see...
I got 6, unless you count the 180 & the archer as the same as the 180 developed into the archer...

Missa

Somewhat related to this thread -- I was curious to know if for meeting currency requirements you can count time in an Archer towards time in a Warrior and vise versa?

The only currency requirements I'm aware of that are that specific are put on by an FBO prior to rental, not by the FAA. Since each FBO is going to make their own rules, you'll really need to ask them.

Not PIC but flown: Glasair Sportsman GS-2, Cessna 182, DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver, Beech B55 Baron.

Heck, that reminds me... I have 1/2 hour in the right seat of a Beaver that I forgot on my list, 'cause it's not in the logbook.

What a cool old truck. Flew like the most solid 172 you've ever flown. Resists turns, wants to just plow ahead somewhere, anywhere, slowly. Heh. :)

Jeanie reminds me I can add the C-150/150. I was amazed the STC calls for a larger nose wheel. Walking up to it on the ramp it looked like a TW.

I almost got pushed back in the seat. But she climbed like a homesick angel.

That reminds me, I was once told by a beaver pilot, if you want to turn add lots of rudder about 5 minutes before you need it.

DHC2 good ol bird.

26 different types, mostly singles.

7 different Cessnas (172, 172RG, 182, 182RG, 162, 206, 208)
3 different Mooneys (C, J, R)
5 different Pipers (Archer, Arrow, Warrior, Lance, Seminole)
3 different Diamonds (-20, -40, -42)
5 Socata (Tampico, Tobago, Trinidad, Turbo Trinidad, TBM700)
BE33 Bonanza
PC-12
Decathalon

Not counted are sims or airplanes that I got just a little stick time in. I generally don't log time unless I got to make a takeoff and landing as well as flying in cruise.
