How do I warm start an IO-360?

Mine doesn't have a primer. I've been injector nozzle tuning recently. That doesn't seem to have affected the starting at all. Regardless it starts quite well now that I've figured out how to do it.
Opening throttle with the fuel pump on is priming. I do it hot and cold. Less time when hot, more when cold, but I always prime. Electronic ignitions do away with most hot starting problems if you let them.

Nozzle tuning is to balance temperatures. It has nothing to do with starting.

Yeah I figured. Just thought I would mention it as I've been working with the guys in Greenville SC to try and improve on the peaking balance. It started a full 1 gph difference between first and last cylinders but ran smoothly LOP. The latest is they want me to reduce nozzle size in all 4 cylinders.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about Airflow Performance! My 390 has their 200A servo.

Bendix with a return line? Do you mean a purge valve? Bendix doesn’t use a fuel return to an accumulator like Continental does. Some guys do add purge valves, but most don’t.
Talked with a guy a couple weeks ago installing a purge valve on his RV14 for Hot Starting issues. Need to ask him if it has helped.

Yeah mine lacks a return line; also lacks a purge valve. Since this thread was started it also lacks a Bendix mag. I'm now running a lightspeed plasma 3 and an e-mag.

Regarding the subject of the thread , I've figured out how to warm start it. I still do as I indicated in the first post but the throttle is set for 1/3 to 1/2 way in rather than the small amount I indicated previously.
I do find that the 1/3 to 1/2 throttle does usually help hot starting quite a bit.

Many guys with hot start problems would benefit from turning the fuel selector to off prior to shutting down and leaving it off until ready to start again.
