High to Low, or Low to High?

Which way did you transition between training and regular flying?

I soloed and got my private in a Tomahawk back in 1981. I got my IR in a 172. I'm 6' 3" tall, and find that ducking under wings in a pain...but...I found that forgetting to duck under wings is an even bigger pain!
