I'm in training to become a pilot, and I want to get more time on the field, getting involved anyway I can.

If you need an extra set of hands with your plane, cleaning (plane or hangar), basic maintenance, transporting, or even a flying buddy. I am your guy!

Please contact me if I can help out in anyway. I'm in Wilmington, NC but willing to travel for the experience.

OH, and I just want the experience. No Charge for my time!

Not sure what kind of ‘basic maintenance’ or ‘transporting’ you could do, with having very little knowledge in the field and no pilot certificate.

Nonetheless it’s great that you extend an arm into in the community. Best of luck to you!

Patrick, could you head over to the maintenance office and see if they have 50 feet of flight line I can use?

I like the Sarcasm. What aircraft will be parked on the flight line? Your rental or someone elses?

I am a member of a 16 person equity club based at KDTO, Denton, Texas. We have two aircraft, a Cessna 182P and a Bonanza V35B

That's Very cool! So I do imagine you started somewhere, with no club, and no experience. Eager to learn, right?

    What path did you take?

Started with a local independent instructor. Got about 12 hours with him. Unfortunately a difference developed between how he taught and how I wanted to learn. So we parted ways.

Shifted over to a local flight school. 45 hours later I was finished. Joined the schools flight club and flew their warrior for another 50 hours until they sold the aircraft.

Was airplaneless for a while. Then joined the club.

Being part of a shared ownership has made financial sense for me. Yes, there are trade offs where the someone else is using the toy, but in the years since I have belonged, we have had several significant events that cost many thousands to take care of. The latest one being a the need to replace the engine in the Skylane. So instead of me having to come up with many tens of thousands of dollars to fix the airplane, the club had the money to pay for it, and my obligation was just the monthly dues.
