Hi everyone, I'm an aviation professional and developer based in Europe. I've been reading the forum for a while and finally decided to join. Looking forward to learning from the community and sharing some thoughts on flight safety and training!

Welcome!
Now don't you try to convince us that paying for ATC services is a good idea, we'll chase you away with torches (of the burning kind) and pitchforks.

Well, since this is the Pilots of America forum, should non-geographically compliant members be allowed?

My recommendation, if you're looking to ingratiate yourself with the folks here, would be to cut back on resurrecting old threads.

Welcome! What nation do you reside, and type(s) of aircraft flown? As you are probably aware, there are all types of pilots and experience levels that contribute here. It really is a great mix, and a lot that can be shared, and learned.

Welcome.
One of our traditions here on POA is that new members are to relate the story of their biggest goof-up in their aviation career.
Feel free.

He's just getting a jump start on when the US annexes Europe.

I think that’s scheduled for sometime between the Middle East and South America. We’ll wait until summer weather to grab Canada.

I, for one, don’t mind people resurrecting old threads, especially if it is relevant. It’s a trip down memory lane if nothing else.

Hopefully you're prepared for threads that typically deteriorate into traded insults and arguments past one another :deadhorse:

I don't mind either, I was just being snarky about the name of the forum and admitted location discrepancy.

Old threads are the best (having returned after about a 5-year absence)! Every question has already been answered 100 times.
