Im documenting my transition training on YouTube, watch it all unfold. Im also interested if any helicopter pilots have some tips, ive only logged 2 hours in a helicopter but I can tell that Im very tense and some pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

what do you normally fly? why so nervous

Looks like fun. I do wonder though if "taxiing" past/over those parked planes is a good idea...

Anyway good luck with your training and keep us posted!

(As someone who's done that transition relatively recently...)
1. Don't call the pedals "rudder" (almost as bad as calling the helicopter a "chopper")
2. Don't let the CFI fly more than absolutely necessary: you are paying!
3. Hover about 3-4 feet high in the R-22

Otherwise, for a newbie you seem not bad at all. Eyes outside, and (mostly) good cyclic grip.

Enjoy it, it's immense fun!
(But nothing like my newest pursuit, gliding/soaring. :))

Awesome have fun! My only two experiences with helicopters were Bell 407s which I got to fly for about 30 minutes. I've been told the more experience you have with airplanes, the harder it is to learn helicopters

No ones told me about the "rudder" issue, but ill keep that in mind haha.
