Hartzell spinner chafing

On my Hartzell spinner we're seeing chafing between the spinner and forward bulkhead. Is UHMW tape indicated here?
This is on a Lancair 360.

Cessna specifies a MIL-spec tape to take up the slop. Turns out that that tape is just a good-quality black electrical tape. I've used it and it works, but if you don't use enough it will still be a bit loose and the tape will move.
