It isn't what I thought it was, however, it actually looks like the spring from the old-style push-pins Cessna used to mount upholstery panels. Current version shown below. Regardless, would definitely resecure those wires with something more appropriate. There are a number of options available to include wire holders that mount via a single hole like what is used now.I believe the insulation is from Selkirk.

Our A&P/IA suggested drilling the longeron and using zip ties, or Adel clamps if they’ll fit under the headliner. I have a concern about that, as the longeron isn’t that deep. It looked like the hole would be too close to the edges. It isn't what I thought it was, however, it actually looks like the spring from the old-style push-pins Cessna used to mount upholstery panels. What does the existing clip plug into now? They make a number of tywrap standoffs that require no drilling. Our A&P/IA suggested drilling the longeron and using zip ties, or Adel clamps if they’ll fit under the headliner.
Hard to see, but it looks like a hole in some part of the structure. Thanks for the reminder about standiffs - I think I’ll just peel back some foam and use them. What does the existing clip plug into now? They make a number of tywrap standoffs that require no drilling.
