Happy Turkey & Football Day!

I'll be the one watching my fantasy stars bust for the 8th straight week and drowning my sorrows in pumpkin pie.

We're not the only ones. I just watched a large hawk tear into a squirrel in the tree nearest my kitchen window before a bunch of crows chased him away.

The squirrel remains, or at least the big fuzzy tail that I can see between the branches. I'm sure I'll enjoy relishing our supremacy over the avian kind once my appetite returns and we're lording over a dead turkey on the table.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and hopefully you get peaceful family time today.

Due to Family situation, we had the Event yesterday at the Condo Clubhouse with I and the kids and grandkids enjoying a catered dinner.

No muss no fuss and the cooking deal is a PITA. I am Thankful to be done with Turkey cooking forever.

PS The REAL Football Day is tomorrow when The Game takes place in Ann Arbor. If the That Team Up North stuff THE Ohio State University for the fifth year in a row, Columbus OH will vaporize in a Mushroom Cloud. And I will try and comfort my GF whilst secretly gloating.

Small crowd this year, made a capon. Gravy's done, time to get to carving.

Just the two of us this year. We did a turkey breast roast, but my darling bride put in the effort for stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potato, and BOTH pumpkin and her world famous best apple pie on the planet. Even the dog got something special, we bought a can of turkey dinner dog food that he seems to really enjoy. I even set out a little birdseed for the squirrels to feast on, since they can’t get into the bird feeder any more.
