I'll be sharing the day with a great friend, her 5 cats, and my 2 dogs. (Not to mention a 28 pound turkey who didn't get the presidential pardon!)
Life is good.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.

May your turkey be moist and your taters not lumpy.
And any flights you have today not be bumpy. :D

I just made that up.

Happy thanksgiving to y'all. I'm going to get on the boat, cruise out past historic Fort Gorges, in Casco Bay, land at Peaks island, and celebrate with dinner at The Inn on Peaks Island. That's to be accompanied by two of my cousins, one of them bringing her friend. The sun is now shining but it's only 28°.

Not that boat(photo #1, above), you wondering folks; one of the yellow/black ferry boats in photo #2. The Inn is in the upper right corner of photo #4(hidden in the trees). And below is part of the dining room at The Inn. We should probably visit the bar, I suppose.

It's raining here (what else is new?). Watching football and looking forward to my wife's turkey (nobody does turkey like she does).

Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

24 - 0, as my Packers suck the air out of the dome in Detroit...

Perfect, sunny, 75 degree weather on the island...

Our son here from Iowa...

A feast beyond measure being prepared by Mary and our daughter...

The morning spent at the hangar, putzing around...

A truly great day to give thanks. I hope yours is going as well! Happy Thanksgiving, all!

What? Potatoes not lumpy?! You gotta leave a few lumps so you know they're not powdered evilness from a box, reconstituted. ;)

During our Thanksgiving Day return from Peaks Island to mainland Portland our ferry suddenly began a wide circle. ??? It's a straight line from terminal to terminal. Hey! There was a sister ferry nearby, holding position. Our ship backed stern to stern with the other vessel and out came several of our deck hands. One of them had several large take-out bags of Thanksgiving dinners which The Inn on Peaks Island had sent to the other crew. The bags were suspended from a long gaff hook and passed to the other crew. I had a long lens on my camera which didn't allow me to get a shot of the transfer. Then the other ship cruised away and we continued to the mainland. All on our ship applauded the Inn's gesture. Everyone had a great time.
