Oh, where is that evil grin emoticon when I need it?

Happy Birthday a day early, Tom. Yup, our favorite Fairchild artist is turning 69 tomorrow. :D

Does this have anything to do with that Sully celeb status thread?

Thanks Guy's,,,,,,,, it will be another day I'm trying to avoid. I'm not 69, I'm not 69, I'm not 69, I'm not 69, I'm not 69......

Getting old ain't for the faint of heart.

Getting old ain't for the faint of heart.
Tom my dad's service date with Georgia Power Company is March 4, 1947.
He "retired" May 1, 1989, with 42 years seniority. After 2 years of driving my Mom crazy, they offered him a contractor's (<20 hour/week) job overseeing the tree trimmers he supervised as an employee. except that the contractors were now doing line construction work, Ga Power having laid off the full time employees.
I called their house this AM to see what was up, and of course, Dad was at work, having fun and Mom was shopping for Turkey day stuff. He's 83 and she 82 and still for some reason keeps her nursing registration current every year. Dad needs a free nurse every now and then.:)
69 might seem old to you, I just hope I'm still upright at 69, much less working at 83. You are still a young man, with hopefully many many more years of flyin' and rebuilding ahead.

Again, Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday youngster, live it up while you are still young.

HB, Tom! Hope you get to go flying! Any nibbles on the Fairchild, or did you sell it and I missed the thread (entirely possible)?

you are 68 and some months...

It beats the alternative.

ps - Happy Birthday

eh, Tom, don't sweat it. It could be worse -- you could be turning 70!

Enjoy your birthday, regardless of how hot the birthday cake gets. Go find a project airplane to work on and forget about it.

Cheers!!
Andrew

Yes I have a firm offer, they will be here Saturday to do the touchy, feely thing and pay if they like what they see.

Tom - wishing you the best on your day and always!

As for the group arriving to look at the Fairchild: How could they not like what they see?

-Skip

Nit picky group, this market

And they could find a nit on that plane? I believe the line from MASH was, "Damned perfectionist."

He loves the aircraft. but no commitment from him yet. we'll see what happens in the next few days, he's hooked.
