Can a Garmin GTXXX crossfill to a Garmin 530?

Can a Avidyne IFDXXX crossfill to a Garmin 530?

And by crossfill, I mean sending flight plan information to/from each unit.

GTN can crossfill to a 430/530 _W_ only. I am pretty sure that the IFDs only crossfill with each other.

Not currently, no. Garmin could release a software update to enable that if they wanted to, but there is no support for that RS232 protocol on the GPS175 currently.

Can a Avidyne IFDXXX crossfill to a Garmin 530?

I haven't tried that, but I am willing to bet the answer is 'no'. You can't even crossfill between a 530W and a non-WAAS 530.

I recall a few years ago Garmin turned the crossfill protocol into a proprietary, secret format, after a company called "VoiceFlight" introduced a popular product called "VFS101 Pilot Speech Recognition System" which used the crossfill bus to populate the flight plan on connected GNS units.

My IFD540 cross fills to my Aera 660, if that helps.

I think that is probably just the MapMX protocol which is one way data feed from Navigator to Area 660, not really a crossfill.

GTN will definitely cross to a WAAS GNS. I believe the 375 and 650 will crossfill too.
