Grumman Options

TBO on the Tiger is 2000 hrs. Not sure about TBO on the C182 but I'm pretty sure it's less and more expensive to overhaul.

If you are only getting 105kts true airspeed, at 2650-2700 rpm, there is definitely something wrong. My Ex-cheetah saw 128 kts true, my current tiger, 135kts true.

What year is toy traveler? Do you have wheel pants and brake covers? Which prop? How many hrs on the engine/cylinders?

I will send you a p.m. I don't want to tear out the thread

nice..
whaddya reckon the fuel burn is?
9 gph or so at cruise. I flight plan 10 gph average, including takeoff and climb, on longer trips and usually come out a bit ahead.

Cheetah was more fun to fly, to be sure, but the 172 handles high DA and short and rough fields better. After the Cheetah I had a ‘59 Bonanza then a Sport Cub. Then I inherited my dad’s 172, and couldn’t bear to sell it, so here we are.
