Categorizes the sites as Weather Weapons:

The good news is that people that stupid are usually impotent in achieving their goals.

There's no possible way that could be a provocateur group. None whatsoever.

I had a friend who moved here with his family from South Africa about a decade ago. Makes me wonder if we're going to see the kind of things he talked about.

Sadly, that seems to no longer be the case in America.
Well, some manage to get some minor wins but long term they don't get what they want.
And morons going after weather stations is a lot like the nutjob losers who thought that 5G cell towers were designed to spread covid. Cuz EM radiation does that apparently

Thing is... No matter how hard you try, you just can't fix stupid, no point in trying :)

Even a sigh and an eye roll is too much wasted energy.

They should protect the sites with armed people. Not visible and deterrent, but concealed until an act of terrorism occurs.

Yeah but they do manage to sometimes hurt a lot of people in trying. See Timothy McVeigh, Ted Laczynski et al.

When you have people demonizing routine science and associated infrastructure constantly, you’re only going to feed the beliefs of the fringe.

Tax-and-spend liberals ignore mathematics. Conspiracy theory conservatives ignore physics. People promoting either understand psychology very well.

Are you kidding? That's just irresponsible. Think about the cost and time wasted! A minefield would be much more cost effective.
