I try to always have a good rapport with Ground - they’re more likely than any other controller to have a reason to yell at me.

Flying out of Andrews AFB in the 70's with a crusty old Col, "Ground" offered us "taxi instructions".

The Col replied that Ground wasn't qualified to instruct him in taxiing; what he required was a clearance - he already knew how to taxi.
