I try to always have a good rapport with Ground - they’re more likely than any other controller to have a reason to yell at me. :p

Remember David Bowie was from the UK, so it could very well be ground control.
 
Heck, I'm still trying to figure out how ground control can be part of air traffic control......

Chuck Norris doesn't make requests to ATC, he states intentions.
 
Flying out of Andrews AFB in the 70's with a crusty old Col, "Ground" offered us "taxi instructions".

The Col replied that Ground wasn't qualified to instruct him in taxiing; what he required was a clearance - he already knew how to taxi.
