To "overhaul" your 430? I would think only Garmin could do that.

I'm interested: why do you wish to "overhaul" your 430? Is it broken?

Also, is it a straight 430, or a 430W (WAAS) unit? I'd be hesitant to spend too much money on a 430 of any vintage, but especially a non-WAAS 430, on which any meaningful repair would almost certainly cost as much as the unit is worth.

Garmin won't support a non-waas 430, but they will flat rate overhaul a waas one. I had that done to my 530 last year and it worked out well.

Unless it's something stupid like a dead memory battery, there's nothing a shop outside Garmin is going to do with your radio. You're stuck sending it to Olathe.

The only non-WAAS they won’t support are 28V units, the other ones they will still repair.
