GMA 340 audio setting help

hey everyone, I need some help.

I installed a gma340 audio panel in my bird a while back and learned today that you are supposed to be able to hear yourself in the headset when transmitting. Who knew!?!

Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be changed or did I wire something wrong? Or worse?

Everything else works great. I only have 1 radio (kx125 if it matters) and thought it was odd originally but never gave it another thought.

Check install manual for "sidetone". That is the feature you are looking for.

It's usually provided by the radio rather than the audio panel. Some of them (like the SL30 and the GNS480) have an independent control for the sidetone vs. the received audio volume.

I didn't find any sidetone adjustments for thew KX125 manual I looked at
I guess the real question is, if its works fine otherwise do you want to throw money at? You could have the installer take another look tho.

I think it would drive me nuts if I couldn't hear myself transmit.
