Bro do you even lift
at the end of this coming week. anyone have it already? care to share experience?

So, is this supposed to be better than AT&T current offerings?

it's fiber, not available everywhere. 1000MB down / 1000MB up. of course, 'not guaranteed' so really you could in theory get like 6mb and they can say 'we told you UP TO 1000MB'.

Go over your bill, every month, with a fine tooth comb.
My sister has AT&T fiber and her bill is wrong.
Every. Single. Month.
She spends 2 to 3 hours on the phone trying to get it fixed, every month.

So, what you are sayin' is it is supposed to be mega, uber fast. Got it. I am happy with my 22mbps cable service right now.

$80 per month is much cheaper than I expected. Not available in Columbus, OH yet.

All I know is that the a-holes who installed the lines in my neighborhood did a lousy job repairing all the yards they tore up.

I've got AT&T Fiber. We had it installed the day after we closed on our new construction house. Whole house is wired with Cat 6.

The modem/router only has 4 ports on it, so keep that in mind. I've got a 24-port switch to manage the cat 6. Three smart TVs hard wired in don't lag at all and the buffer time is in single digit seconds.

Wifi is 2.4 and 5 gHz. Both bands can be run simultaneously as well as a guest network. Our home is single floor, open floor plan, 2900 sq ft. Wifi coverage is good to ok inside the house. Forget about it outside the house, like on the patio. So keep that in mind, too.

Overall satisfied for the price point. Doesn't keep the traffic from slowing down during normal 'busy hours' on the internet, but I work from home most days and it's blazing fast then.

good feedback, thanks. I also work from home and this is the main reason I'm scooping it up. well, that and I've had ****ty internet and no cable for the longest time, I'm treating myself.

I hope it works out for you, @eman1200. We use DirecTV, had it before AT&T bought the company. We chose not to bundle the services since our contract expired with DirecTV. We don't plan on switching, but I don't won't to get hit with the early termination fees that would come along with the contract requires for bundling.

What state does your sister live?

I definitely will keep a close eye on those crooks. but one thing I made sure we went over was exactly when my bill was going to go up, by how much, and exactly when I needed to cancel things so as not to get charged extra. key example is I get HBO/Showtime for free for 3 months. a lot of people will forget to cancel then get whacked with a massive bill. I know the bill will go up after the introductory first year but I wanted it spelled out clearly so I knew what to expect.

I don't have it, but it's in our neighborhood, so I've looked into it. One thing I don't like is that you have to use their gateway, and hence there's an additional monthly rental fee for that. They claim it's to make sure you get the 1000Mbps (wired Ethernet of course). Yes I know some routers suck, but still...

The closest it comes is about ten miles away (a friend has it). I'd be on it like a heartbeat. Really miss moving out of FiOS territory. Now have 20MB DSL (and only 1.5 up).
