Chrome is at v44+, FireFox in the high 30's, and I have no clue who's willing to use IE 10 right now.

Yes, I've been seeing this scam all over the place. I just ignore it. Many of these going around, asking for "participation" in some well-named study to draw the crowd to a datamining webpage with JS enabled. While we're at it, why don't we enable ActiveX and Plug-Ins as well and watch our computer give away all information? 
There was way too much effort put into that to be a data mining scam. Why the extravagant instructions existed was a bit confusing. I never again connected 90% of it.
