GDL-82 for a C182?

I am not able to find if GDL-82 can be installed in my 1966 C182J. My shop says the STC is not yet approved. Where would I look for that info?

It's a TSO-ed equipment. Can be installed in any aircraft as far as I know.

Does you avionics shop want work? There is one STC completed for the GDL-82, its for the Mooney M20J. All you really need for a reference in addition to buying the equipment is this:

Follow the installation manual and reference that document and you have all data needed.
