The other day I flew a practice RNAV approach with a G430, and perhaps because I haven't used the G430 in some time I'm assuming I forgot something...
I selected and activated the approach. On the way to the IAF the 430 stayed in the terminal mode, once established on the approach it went to the approach mode where it stayed to the MAP. I was expecting it to tell me which approach mode it's using (LPV, LNAV, ect...), yet the only thing it said was "APR."
What am I missing?
Thanks
