For those that like to try and fix stuff, I have an Avidyne MFD I bought off eBay a while back, worked fine up until about a year ago, screen photos below. Fan is also noisy (humms louder than a regular one), probably out of balance, likely from the piece of plastic that is loose inside the housing.
