These are heavily edited 4-6hr flights to show the ATC interaction, and any good scenery, especially over the Alps. They are aimed at existing and future IR holders.

The video is from an external 1080P HD camera so pretty good quality.

On some of the flights, IFR cancellation was used to solve tricky airspace issues :)

And on the 1st one, the Eurocontrol route validation system completely shafted me just minutes before getting the taxi to the airport, by suspending the flight plan (the filing agency, the Autorouter, failed to pass on an earlier message from the previous evening's SUSP) so I just re-filed it "VFR" on the same route (which requires no validation), picked up an IFR clearance after about half an hour, and hilariously flew the exact same route under IFR :)

Shoreham EGKA to Brac LDSB - UK to Croatia

Brac LDSB to Syros LGSO - Croatia to Greece

Syros LGSO to Mali Losinj LDLO - Greece to Croatia

Mali Losinj LDLO to Shoreham EGKA - Croatia to UK

I have somewhat higher quality versions on Vimeo (I pay them $50/month) but that outfit, out of some brainless misinterpretation of European GDPR, has removed all Search facilities from its website for European IPs, so it will probably just die over here. Most people won't bother with a VPN. Here is the last of the four

Enjoy :)

An amazing trip. Thank you for sharing.

I absolutely love the insights that videos of GA Flights in Europe videos give me. I've just finished watching the first, but will definitely be watching all of them. I'm amazed how helpful the controllers were in trying to work things out for you given the bad rep.

I'm watching the Vimeo versions.

I had not previously tried the "IFR to VFR conversion" for the whole route method, but it did work amazingly well. Obviously "the system" would get changed if too many were doing it. Europe runs approx 30k restrictions per day and an IFR flight has to get validated against this lot. It has been impossible without special software for at least 20 years.
