I know some of you wanted to know what ForeFlight would look like on an iPhone 6 Plus versus earlier generations. Here's a side-by-side screenshot, at the same chart zoom level, for comparison.

I'm not going to embed the picture as it will zoom the screen too large; just click the attachment.

Thanks for providing the photo.

I notice it's more of a "scale upwards" of the graphic and text elements versus a finer resolution.

But I can see the value due to more screen real estate.

So who's 6+ is that? Yours or T's?

PS if you take more photos, toss a ruler, quarter, or something in frame so we have a known measurement to compare to.

Looks like it will help my tired old eyes.

Actually, it's not... the original picture I posted I "zoomed" in on the iPhone 6 Plus to provide the same "view" as on the iPhone 5. As you can see on the new image with the ruler for scale, as you suggested, I just clicked the "locate me" button on both and you'll notice that at the same viewing scale, the iPhone 6 Plus shows MUCH more detail, at the same font size as the iPhone 5.

Mine. She has one as well.

Done. Included both versions of photos in the revised OP, as one has the display zoomed in on the Plus, and the other doesn't.

What storage capacity did you select?

Do you see yourself mounting this in the aircraft for routine use? Or just pulling it out as needed when the iPad is busy with something else, and/or a back up device to the iPad?

Unrelated question TW - is the text screen noticeably bigger (bigger buttons) on the 6+? I have a 5S, milady has a G4 - the only thing I like better about her phone is that it's easier to text (and we use a lot of text at work)

The iPhone version of ForeFlight doesn't support the AHRS view from Stratus that the iPad has. So I'll still have the iPad along, but I don't MOUNT the iPad anyway. I pick it up and reference as needed.

So yes, I might mount the iPhone 6 Plus in my line of sight.

Yes! That's why I got it. I have big hands and it is much easier to text. If you can, use voice to text as much as possible! That helps tremendously.

For iPhone, use the Stratus app to see the AHRS. https://appsto.re/us/QO9aM.i

However, I could see Tyson adding into the iPhone version for those with the 6-plus.

I looked tonight at Best Buy - could only see it in portrait. Screen rotation was locked and the phone set to Chinese - but the buttons were bigger :)

I played with a 6+ at an Apple store last weekend. Nice. The display is larger than my entire i4 phone! I have large hands and had no trouble holding it, but it does not fit well in shirt pockets!

Foreflight still hasn't updated the app to support the larger screen, which is why it looks like that.

The more I think about it, the more I want to get the 6+ when I'm ready for a new phone and mount it either on the yoke or window with FF up.

Looks like I have to wait until 14 NOV for the 6+ on Verizon :dunno:
