Nice picture of the fog,
 
Still fogged in, starting to lift. Runway is closed, we are using the taxi way "A" until runway resurfacing is completed. They say 1 July is approximate completion of resurfacing.
 
Homer is clear. I'll be driving there from ANC this afternoon. Probably be a 6 hour drive because I will take the wife sight seeing along the way.
 
It's going to clear about the same time I sit down for brunch.

Should take the ferry down to Kodiak my girlfriend is cooking chicken and dumplings tonight!

Must be the marine influence. Up here it has been quite hot since last Wed or so... in the mid 80s again today, at least in the valleys. Some much-needed rain coming through now... should be cooler tomorrow (60s).

This week it's supposed to be in the mid 70s-80s. It's definitely summer now.

I'll think of that after having the worst Thai food in the western hemisphere right here in Homer.

The drive was awesome.!! My wife wanted to see a moose and we saw two close up, very close up on the road as one ran in front of us, the other came up out of the ditch and was on a collision course until she changed heading, otherwise I would be eating moose right now.

We saw goats in the hills, several bald eagles, the afore mentioned moose, otters in the water, gold miners in the creeks and one dead fish on the road.

This is going to be a great summer flying the 206 and landing on the beaches to watch bears.!!
 
Its Alaska. I thought you were supposed to have bad weather in Alaska. Thought it went with the bears and Aboriginals.
