Flying to Aspen (KASE) from Granby (KGNB) was an awesome experience. Even in the Rans, traveling at only 74 knots over the ground, we still made the trip in a little under an hour and a half. A free shuttle runs on the highway just outside the airport perimeter, and we were able to hike the Bells within an hour of our arrival. The free shuttle takes you to the drop point for the paid Maroon Bells shuttle. Pay $8 per person and you’re off to the trailhead. The photo above tells the rest of the story!

And even though we were surrounded by business jets from all over the world, the smiles and waves we received for having the smallest plane flying that day had us thinking we were the richest people on the field.
