Flat Tire; Possible Causes?

A friends car had a flat tire today. Can anyone discuss the possible cause?

Regardless of the cause, your friend should immediately file an ASRS report. Seriously.

Thanks for that very complete and logical solution. However, I do believe you are over-thinking the problem.

All the OP needs to do is reduce atmospheric pressure and that tire will plump right up!
