We got a little break in the weather yesterday evening and I took my wife flying for the first time (checkride was Tuesday).
Up till now my flying has been somewhat 'theoretical' for her. Im all excited, I would come home and talk about it, but she wasn't really that into it.
We met AggieMike in Denton for dinner Wednesday and talked about his flying club (thanks Mike!). He took us to the hanger and showed us the planes and my wife and I climbed into the Bonanza and looked around. After we leave she is talking away. All of a sudden its real for her!
So anyway, we fly around the local area, talk some about ATC and show her how the VOR works (she's a scientist, she loves that kinda stuff) and she has a big grin on her face.
When we landed I made a pretty nice landing for her and she is asking when we are going again! Life is good! Now if this North Texas weather will cut us some slack!!

I'm with you and agree with all you said. The wife is the driving force behind most of our trips but hasn't shown much interest in flying the plane. Although, the questions are starting.
