It’s been 35 years since I was hanging out at Ft Rucker waiting for a Cobra transition...had to find a job for 6 weeks and ended up at the museum giving VIP tours...I knew some of that but not the full account..love the History guy

Had an uncle that flew with the 1st AC's. Wish when he was alive, that I would have gotten him to tell me about those days. I've got some of his monthly flight reports and the flight hours are wildly varying, based on where he was at, each month. One thing that I do remember, is that some months, combat missions outnumbered flight hours by a long shot.
