Highway landing (in foreign country)
-merges nicely with traffic
-amazing avoidance of maze of high tension lines
-demo of how the public absolutely loses their mind to see an airplane out of its normal environment (the audio)

I wish I had more faith in drivers' ability to not lock up their brakes, upon seeing an airplane in their rearview mirror.
Same. My landing speed lines up pretty well with interstate speeds, but I have the same fear as you. Probably a good idea to turn OFF the landing lights if it comes to that.

I couldn't place the language. Looking for clues of which country: obviously mountainous region; they drive on the right side; "Agricopel" (name on the tanker) is a Brazillian company. Say what you will about it, but Brazil has one of the more developed aviation industries outside the US.

If it was an engine-out (can't tell the reason for the forced landing, but judging from the flare, they ballooned a little, suggesting at least partial power -- unless that was excess airspeed from ducking under the wires) you have the advantage of being mostly quiet to the traffic that can't see you.

Excellent job by the pilot in any case.

I imagine a flashing "down" arrow on the belly would be handy for politely merging into traffic, no? Landing on the freeway ...use your blinker!

This is America. You're more likely to get rear ended by the drivers behind you, that are looking straight at your plane, than the drivers in front even looking in their rear view mirror. Unless someone honks a horn, I bet you'd go unnoticed by cars ahead. And, you may get road raged on and beaten.

I used to have a friend who would key the mic in his King Air and test the stall horn to tell DC-9s to get out of the way.

Nauga,
clearing a path

Had an airline captain do this after a smart aleck comment from a competitor. But it was the takeoff warning horn. They aborted.

The voice annunciator test button is a great way to wake up your FO that's nodding off. Er, so a friend told me.

Language is Portuguese. This happened in Brazil.
