All I know is single engine, fixed gear. Took off from Gila Bend and was flying from California to Texas.

Very sad. Condolences to friends/family. Very close to where the F-16 crashed a couple of months ago.

I spent 2.5 years in Gila Bend in the early 70's and did some training there. Soloed out of that field.

The one person on board was fatally injured.

Wreckage located 20 miles from Wilcox, Arizona.

Legacy Experimental N259L registered to Michael Peterson from Cle Elum, Washington.

Powered by a Lycoming IO-360 and built by the owner.
