Failed cockpit seating from the past

...thought that was the position to assume when receiving your annual invoice.

Reminds me of the Northrup XP-79 "flying ram", designed to chop off the tail of German bombers during WWII.

I think I would be able to sleep in that position, unless the turbulence is choppy. That might be rough on the tongue....

I think the worse part about that would be the ‘head brace.’ That would be annoying!

Until about 4 minutes into the flight when your neck develops excessive fatigue from holding your head in an unnatural position. Then the first 2+ G maneuver finds you looking at the cockpit floor, and suddenly you’re *loving* that head brace.

Is one of those handles the rudder control?

Where do I put my knee board?

Kind of like the "Boomer" position on a KC-135.

Methinks Letsgoflying! Is bored silly with being sick. And not getting much sympathy from his wife I expect. ;)

Wire that thing up to en ejection system, put on a Superman cape, pull the handle, and have a story to tell at the club that night.

Hmm, 4 hours seated like this.

I love those things!
Then there's Tatsu:

Nobody warned me about the outside loop.

I wouldn't want to fly that way though.

Nauga,
