Effing airline travel i tell ya. It went from a relatively copacetic affair to a re enactment of the fall of saigon on every single g-d flight. You know, for a commodity that supposedly got de regulated everybody acts like if i dont get on this one flight im getting left behind for the north vietnamese to send me to the death camps in the countryside. Of course, one look at refundable fare pricing tells you everything about the social dynamics of this g-d unbecoming mode of travel.

I have been on flights where people had to be moved from zone to zone, mostly in smaller planes, 1900s EMB120 etc. First the FA would ask for volunteers, when everyone played dead, she just told particular passengers to move. It's not like a pax has a choice.
