Looks like they lost all comms (voice and radar) to/from the displaced EWR guys down in Philly. Ground stops for the above airports. LGA also backing up. This is also going to exacerbate the delays already at EWR due to the runway construction.
Of course soon they'll centralize all ATC functions in LockMart's facility in Denver and we everything will work perfectly.

EWR/LGA/JFK share the same root problem that DCA has. Too much stuff in a five pound sack with more stuff being added.…Still, the situation at Newark is disconcerting.

This one seems to have been early enough in the morning that it didn't have a significant affect on passenger operations.Looks like it happened again this morning?
Though that's probably more just lucky happen stance that anything else, right? This one seems to have been early enough in the morning that it didn't have a significant affect on passenger operations.
Good to know on the runway limitations they've got.The real problem today is that the wind is from the northeast requiring runway 4R operations, 4L is closed for a major rebuild, and preventing the use of runway 29 for landing. A single-runway operation can not support anywhere close to the traffic that is scheduled through EWR.
