Wife and daughter went to Seattle for a sorority gathering, so I'm free most of the day. :D Went to the airport and grabbed the club's C-172N to fly it for the first time since last September (been flying the Arrow lately) and to try out the new GNS-430 we just put in the panel. Nice toy.

I could tell I've been flying the Arrow lately and not the 172. It was windy (last T&G on rwy 26 had winds from 240 at 17, landed with winds 15G21) so that was good practise. When we switched from 17 to 26 the Howard in the pictures taxied out. He didn't stay up long. I think he made one or two trips around the pattern, departed for a short while to let a rain shower pass by and then came in shortly after I called it quits. Pretty plane (from a distance).

Oh, and I'm just going to have to make another trip to the airport (darn!). I left my AOPA ballcap in the plane and didn't notice until I was at home. Oh, gee. Another excuse to go to the airport. :P

Oh, and it was not foggy like the pictures. I got home, downloaded them and went to charge the batteries in the camera when I found a HUGE smudge on the lens. I don't know where it came from, wasn't there yesterday, but was there bigger than life today. So, if you ever want to make a scene in a picture look like foggy weather, just put a big old fingerprint on the lens.
