Although, to be honest, the Dark Lord has treated me and my Spitfire well recently.
Cylinders and most Cam Lobes/Followers are lubed by oil being slung off the Crank.
Rocker Arms and Valve Guides by oil traveling through the Pushrods and
Dripping on the Valve.
If Oil does not readily drip off the stick do you think the LARD-like oil
will do the job after a cold start?
btw- Most Radial Engines used fuel to dilute Oil when a Cold Start was anticipated.
I‘ve seen Aircraft like 182 with the system also.
