How long can I leave the fuel bags in the 182 empty?

anyone got reliable info?

These are 1973 OEM Cessna.

What tends to kill the bladders isn't so much dryness but heat. If you leave even a partially filled tank out in the hot sun all the time, you're going to get deterioration of the bladder above the fuel line.

My bladders are rarely filled above 1/3 full. Park outdoors 24/7/365 since 1975. Bladders have been changed once, about 15 years ago.

Maybe look at it from the other end. How long do you plan leave them empty then look at Cessna's storage preservation schedule. I seem to recall long term storage (6mo+) was to top off fuel tanks but drain engine fuel system. Don't remember details of flyable or short/mid term storage.
