I think you missed this:

Millions of Elvis fans have peered into the planes as part of the Graceland tour, with Coker getting a cut of the ticket proceeds, but his agreement with Elvis Presley Enterprises has expired. He's looking for a buyer because his agreement with and negotiations to keep them at Graceland have failed, leaving the jets' future up in the air.
 
I saw that. What I meant was, I don't think they will sell to someone who moves them off site. I think someone will buy them, and negotiate a new agreement with Graceland.
 
Neither aircraft runs. The big jet has been idle since Elvis funeral. Plenty of better used aircraft out there.
 
Priscilla has since posted about hearing the people's wishes and negotiating...yada yada.

This was mostly a publicity play to get Graceland to negotiate a new contract.

I had know that Elvis had a JetStar, but I didn't realize he bought the JetSar to be the "ferry plane" for the Convair. Interesting history lesson.

I don't see either plane going anywhere, they'll just renegotiate. Nobody will buy the things otherwise.

I heard tell that they wanted to put a hotel/casino there, but there was enough public outcry they are reconsidering options. Could be all rumor though, everything I read sounded like hearsay except the release from Priscilla, so with that most likely the planes are staying.

The thing I find interesting about the big jet is the difference between what is considered luxury now compared to then (assuming that Elvis would have had state of the times premium luxury). What I see there wouldn't come close to what the standard is today.
 
I can't believe these people are still using Elvis Presley name as a primary source of income. I can't believe that after being dead for so long he is still making more money than I am.

Yes, as I noted the aircraft do not run. Your reading comprehension seems intact. Unless you need to look up the meaning of the phrase 'does not run.'
 
I do not like Elvis's music at all, but whose the chic with Elvis above? She was 1 good looking girl!
