Hmm, motors in the wheels in an airplane?

And that's not a weight penalty?

Seems like a nonstarter unless these guys are flying empty planes.

If this really were that significant, why not use tugs to tow airplanes through taxi?

Only time will tell ,how effective the hybrid will be.
