Early main battery failures?

After just receiving a brand new $289 airplane battery that has a permanently (slightly) dented corner on the plastic case I can only wonder how many early failures could be traced back to shipping and handling.

Packed in a box too big, making it more difficult to handle and not nearly enough padding so it slides around in the box. Its going back...

Aero Performance. Its possible they didn't cause the problem but the box they packed still...sucked.
